Trafford Golf Centre - Review

I have always enjoyed playing Golf.  I learned to play mainly on fields and what used to be a local municipal golf course when I was young, however these days there are so many more options of you want to either learn to play, or improve your game.

I haven't played for a couple of years now, however have spells where I play a lot, and even though golf is a bit like riding a bike in that you never forget how to play, when I play a lot I do get better.

I have a game coming up next month and having got the clubs out and given them a clean the one thing I need before the game is some practice. These days it isn't so easy to find fields that I can head to and start playing so its handy that with the growth of golf as a popular game there are plenty of options available.

Trafford Golf Centre offers everything you might need under one roof. It has the largest driving range in the UK, which is where I headed having been bought a gift voucher for Christmas.

There are 57 bays available at Trafford Golf with floodlights for night play. Of these 26 offer automatic teeing of your balls (With no extra cost) and 16 offer ball tracing technology to enable to see how your shot played on a screen behind you. These bays cost £8 per hour (£5 if before 5pm) in addition to your ball cost.  There are also 6 target greens and quality Srixon balls used for all.

I didn't use the ball tracer bays opting for the more traditional game of having 120 balls and seeing how far and how straight I could hit them with my Driver. Using the auto tee was really useful and you can set your tee easily at any of four different heights to suit your swing.  Using my gift card I was able to get 120 balls for just over £8 which isn't bad at all.

After your game you can visit American Gold store where they have a large range of clubs, clothing and accessories or you could go and sit in the Cafe and enjoy a Starbucks drink and something to eat from the simple menu available.

There is also lots more available at Trafford Golf, with lessons available and Dino Falls Crazy Golf it is also a good place for the family to visit, maybe before a shopping trip to the Trafford Centre or the Beyond Chill Factore centre, as both are no more than a few hundred yards away.

If you are a keen golfer, or just wanting to get some practice in I would recommend that you give Trafford Golf a visit. You will be impressed by the scale of the place and find everything you need under one roof.
