Quantum Break Xbox One

Quantum Break Xbox One

As you will get to know if you continue to follow my articles I am a gamer. I never grew up. And I'm quite happy with that. I have an Xbox One, a PS4, WiiU and I also play android games through an Nvidia Shield TV, oh and on my phone too. I am looking forward to the release of Quantum Break for Xbox One. This is a game that has been in and around the xbox one news since the console launched, in fact I think it was pencilled in as a release day game.
Quantum break comes from Remedy - the same team who made the Max Payne games and the Alan Wake series (which I loved!)  and is being published through Microsoft Studios. The game is set at and around Riverport University, a fictional university set in the Northeastern United States, where a time travel experiment has gone wrong. The event not only causes time to start breaking down, but also grants the two main characters—Jack Joyce and Paul Serene—different time-based abilities. For example, Serene, the main antagonist, can see the future to decide which choices to make in the present; while Joyce, one of the two protagonists, can stop time. Joyce and Wilder are pursued by Monarch Solutions, a corporation founded by Serene.

The whole idea of being able to manipulate time does open up a lot of possibilities for the game, but it could also prove to be a disaster if its too difficult to master. I am hoping it won't be too difficult.

The other new and exciting thing about this game is the idea of a live action series running alongside the game. So at certain points the gameplay will stop and you will be treated to an episode of the programme to keep you up to date with the other characters in the game.  Again, its exciting, but also a potential recipe for disaster!   Given the length of time the game has been in development and the money that must have gone into it, I am guessing it will be brilliant - but we will see!

If you pre-order at the moment you will also get the digital versions of original Alan Wake game, plus add ons The Writer and The Signal and certain places (including the xbox online store) are also offering Alan Wake's American Nightmare too.
